Assignment Title: International Accreditation of Postgraduate Programs in ACE Climate SABC, Haramaya University
The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Africa Higher Education Center of Excellence project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.
The consulting services (“the Services”) include International Accreditation of ACE Climate SABC Postgraduate Program (PhD in Climate Smart Agriculture and Biodiversity Management, MSc in Biodiversity and Ecosystem Management, and MSc in Climate Smart Agriculture) at Haramaya University.
The center now invites eligible consulting firms (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the International Accreditation Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The shortlisting criteria are:
- Core business and years in business (15 %)
- Qualifications in the field of the assignment (40%)
- Technical and managerial organization of the firm (15 %)
- General qualifications and number of key staff (30%)
The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to paragraph 1.9 of the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers, January 2011 (“Consultant Guidelines”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
Consultants may associate with other firms in the form of a joint venture or a sub consultancy to enhance their qualifications.
A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the least cost selection method set out in the Consultant Guidelines.
